EKG TechnicianThe EKG Technician certification program is designed to take the beginning Electrocardiograph student to a knowledge and skill level that allows the student to practice as an entry level Electrocardiographer in a professional setting. This 100 Contact Hour program is an overview of cardiac function and the conduction system. Students enrolled in this program will supplement their theoretical knowledge with non invasive, hands-on practice in the laboratory. The use of multimedia, actual EKG machine and individualized student centered instruction will further provide concrete clinical simulation. Successful completion of the program also grants eligibility to sit for the National Health Career Association (NHA) Certification Exam.
